“Last Stop Khanda” Team Meets Raj Thackeray Ahead of Grand Release on November 21
Mumbai, Nov. 19 — The buzz around Friday’s big release Last Stop Khanda just hit a new high! In a tale that’s straight out of the movies, when the film’s producers faced last-minute hurdles with getting prime-time slots and enough screens, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray stepped in — and solved the problem with a single phone call. The result? The stage is set for one of Marathi cinema’s most anticipated releases, and fans can thank Raj Thackeray for getting “Last Stop Khanda” the launch it deserves!
With viewers growing tired of cookie-cutter cinema, Last Stop Khanda promises something delightfully fresh. The film’s team recently visited Thackeray’s Shivtirth residence to personally seek his support. Not only did the iconic leader handle the release roadblock with lightning efficiency, but he also chatted with the entire cast about the project and sent them off with his best wishes.
The producers are effusive in their gratitude, and fans truly have something special to look forward to. Music from the feature is already sweeping the charts: “Shalu Jhoka De Go Maina,” picturized on the dynamic Platinic Prabhakar More and stunning Dhanashri Kadgaonkar, is winning hearts, while Suhas Samant’s soulful title track is fast becoming the anthem of the season. The trailer, released just two days ago, has garnered a roaring response and primed audiences for an unforgettable cinematic experience.
Written by the beloved Shramesh Betkar of “Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra” fame and directed by Vineet Parulekar, Last Stop Khanda is a breezy romantic rollercoaster with comedy to spare. Shramesh Betkar himself stars, paired with screen newcomer Juilee Temkar—a refreshing new face for Marathi film lovers. The film has been shot across a range of scenic locations in Ratnagiri district, a region adorned with breathtaking natural beauty. Consequently, experiencing this movie in theatres is sure to provide audiences with a richly satisfying visual treat—one that is bound to captivate viewers throughout.
The star-studded ensemble also features Prabhakar More, Dhanashri Kadgaonkar, Nikhil Bane, Mandar Mandavkar, Shashikant Kerkar, Sudesh Jadhav, Mahesh Kaprekar, Ashok Dhage, and Priyanka Hande—each bringing their unique flair to this celebratory story of love and laughter. Behind the scenes, cinematographer Haresh Sawant and art director Keshav Thakur ensure every frame shines. The film’s melodies, crafted by Shreyas Raj Angane and Kishor Mohite, complete the magic.
Produced by Pradeep Manohar Jadhav, with Sachin Kadam and Amruta Sachin Jadhav as co-producers, Last Stop Khanda is primed to be the breakthrough romance everyone’s talking about.
